G+Note Belt Drive Aluminum Sprocket Kit for Honda Monkey 125 5-speed models: JB03 / JB05

"Silence and silky acceleration, liberated from lubrication." From metal chain to high-durability reinforced belt system. A custom kit that brings a whole new joy of riding to the Monkey 125.

This is the "G+Note Belt Drive Conversion Kit" designed specifically for the Honda Monkey 125 (5-speed models: JB03 / JB05). By replacing the conventional metal drive chain with a high-durability reinforced cogged belt system made by the global belt manufacturer GATES, it achieves astonishing quietness and a silky smooth, direct acceleration feeling.

Four Innovative Values Brought by Belt Drive Conversion

  1. Say Goodbye to Oil Stains. Completely "Maintenance-Free"

    • No more troublesome cleaning or lubrication: Tedious regular lubrication and greasy dirt removal with chain cleaner, typical of metal chains, are now things of the past.
    • Keep your undercarriage clean at all times: The complete absence of splashing chain oil means your rear wheel and swingarm area can always be kept beautiful and clean.
  2. "Overwhelming Quietness" to Enjoy the Engine's True Beat and Exhaust Sound

    • Complete elimination of friction noise: The clattering and friction noise characteristic of metal chains during riding are thoroughly eliminated. You can enjoy the exhaust sound of the Monkey 125's muffler and the engine's original comfortable beat more clearly.
  3. A "Silky Acceleration Feeling" You Can't Go Back From Once Experienced

    • Flexible Torque Transmission: The appropriate flexibility unique to belts dramatically reduces the jerky shock during gear changes. Experience seamless, smooth, and direct riding, from low-speed city cruising to high-speed touring.
  4. Rust-Resistant, Achieving Both "Lightweight" Undercarriage and "Long Lifespan"

    • Rust-Free High-Precision Sprocket: Adopts high-precision aluminum sprockets and reinforced belts that are completely rust-proof. Being significantly lighter than metal chains, unsprung weight is greatly reduced, and the rear suspension's movement becomes more supple.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) & Initial Adjustment

Q. Can I easily install it myself? A. Although it is a bolt-on design, the "initial tension adjustment" of a belt drive greatly affects the product's lifespan and performance. To ensure safe and supreme riding enjoyment, we strongly recommend entrusting the work to a specialized motorcycle shop or service center.

Q. Does it stretch like a chain? Is frequent tension adjustment necessary? A. Due to the use of special reinforced materials, the initial "stretch" is extremely low compared to metal. Once set to the appropriate tension, frequent fine adjustments are not required thereafter.

[Important] Belt Tension Adjustment Guidelines:

  • When using a tension gauge: The deflection should be 8mm to 14mm when a load of approximately 4.5kg (10 pounds) is applied.
  • 簡易測定(目安): When firmly pressing down on the center of the belt with your thumb, a deflection where the "first joint of your thumb slightly sinks (10mm to 15mm)" is generally typical.
    • *Too tight: May cause a "whirring" noise during riding and damage bearings, etc.
    • *Too loose: May cause "skipping" during acceleration/deceleration, leading to belt damage.
