カスタムのバランスと注意点

Custom balance and precautions

There was a time when the internet was abuzz with an issue where the right-side rear shock mounting boss on a CT125 had broken.
Since this location also doubles as the muffler carrier attachment, there is information that this problem occurs when using an aftermarket muffler with only one fastening point.
By the way, I also replaced the muffler with an aftermarket one and have no problems even in Thailand's poor road conditions.
I use a small, lightweight aftermarket carrier.
When the need for loading arises, we make sure to attach foldable containers each time.

What I think about this is the carrier and the add-on box.
If you have a large carrier or a large box that can hold a full-face helmet, the stress will be concentrated in that area.
Furthermore, when the box is mounted to the rear of the vehicle, the stress is amplified, and all of this puts stress on that part.
And because the bolts are large, if you tighten them with a torque appropriate for their size (even though they don't actually need to be tightened that hard), it will also be subjected to stress.

Keep these things in mind and enjoy your custom life.
We also sell lightweight carriers on this website, so we hope you will find it useful.
